What an Elopement Package Includes

Each package page lists exactly what is included. Across the catalogue, the pattern is clear:

  • From about €1,600 to €3,000: a symbolic ceremony in one location, artisan flowers, a photographer for one to two hours and a toast. Some add a ritual such as the red ribbon ceremony or a gondola ride.
  • From about €3,000 to €6,000: a more exclusive venue such as a villa garden, a castle or a private boat, longer photography, and often a dinner for two.
  • From about €6,000 upwards: exclusive use of famous villas, two-day programmes with an overnight stay, wine tastings or a seaplane flight over Lake Como.

Flights, your hotel and the legal paperwork are not included unless the package page says so. For a line-by-line budget, see our guide on how much it costs to elope in Italy.

Lake Como Elopement Packages

Lake Como has the widest choice, from a small private dock to the gardens of the great villas. Most ceremonies happen in the late afternoon, when the light softens over the water.

For photography only, see our Lake Como elopement photographer page.

Tuscany Elopement Packages

Tuscany combines Florence at sunrise with the vineyards of Chianti and the abbeys of the Siena countryside. It is the best region for couples who want food and wine to be part of the day.

Our Tuscany and Versilia page covers larger weddings in the same region.

Amalfi Coast, Capri and Sorrento

The southern coast is for couples who want the sea: terraces above the water, boat rides and sunset toasts. Prices start at €2,500 on Capri and €2,800 on the Amalfi Coast.

Couples who want the whole island to themselves can also look at our Capri elopement guide.

Dolomites Elopement Packages

The Dolomites are for couples who want mountains, meadows and silence. Ceremonies take place at alpine lakes, mountain huts and viewpoints reached by cable car or on foot.

Summer, from late June to September, is the main season. See also our Dolomites elopement photographer guide for the best spots.

Venice, Lake Garda and Liguria

In Venice the classic choice is a gondola ceremony: Venice In Love costs €2,500 and The Secret Canal €3,600. Read more in our guide to eloping in Venice.

On Lake Garda, The Starlit Italian Marriage in Sirmione costs €2,300 and Love Story on the Island on Isola del Garda €4,600. Our wedding in Lake Garda page covers the whole lake.

On the Italian Riviera, Our Secret Portofino starts at €2,400 and Lost In Paradise Portofino at Castello Brown costs €3,700. See our wedding in Portofino page.

Legal or Symbolic: What You Need to Know

All our elopement packages are built around a symbolic ceremony. It has no legal value in Italy, and that is what keeps it simple: no documents, no town hall, free choice of place and time.

Most couples sign the legal papers at home before or after the trip. If you want the marriage to be legal in Italy, you need a civil ceremony at a town hall, the documents required for your nationality and an interpreter. That adds municipal fees and several weeks of preparation.

US citizens can follow our guide on how to get married in Italy as a US citizen. For the general picture, start from elope in Italy, and for packages that cover every service see our all-inclusive elopement packages.

How the Day Works

An elopement day is short and simple, and that is the point. A typical schedule looks like this:

  • Getting ready. At your hotel, at your own pace. Hair and make-up can be added on request.
  • Meeting point. The coordinator or photographer meets you at the hotel, the jetty or the car park closest to the venue.
  • Ceremony. Usually 20 to 30 minutes, led by a celebrant in English, with your own vows, the ring exchange and, in some packages, a ritual such as the red ribbon.
  • Photos. A walk around the location for portraits, timed for the best light: sunrise in Florence, late afternoon on the lakes, golden hour on the coast.
  • Toast and dinner. A glass of prosecco on the spot, and in many packages a dinner for two afterwards.

Book three to six months ahead for May, June and September, especially for Saturdays and for the most famous villas. Weekdays and the shoulder months are easier to secure at short notice.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to elope in Italy?

Our elopement packages in Italy cost from €1,600 to €12,900 for two, with most between €2,200 and €5,000. That usually covers the ceremony, flowers, photographer and a toast. Flights, hotel and a legal ceremony at the town hall are extra. The exact inclusions are listed on each package page.

Can you legally elope in Italy?

Yes. Foreigners can marry legally at an Italian town hall with the documents required for their nationality, two witnesses and an interpreter. Our packages use a symbolic ceremony, so most couples sign the legal papers at home and celebrate in Italy without any paperwork.

How do you elope in Italy?

Choose a region and a package, check your date on the package page and book online. We confirm the venue, photographer, flowers and timing. Decide early whether you want a symbolic ceremony only or a legal one, because a legal wedding needs documents prepared several weeks ahead.

Are there all-inclusive elopement packages in Italy?

Yes. Several packages include ceremony, photography, dinner and an overnight stay, and the Just Us Infinity packages cover two full days. Our all-inclusive elopement page lists the options where almost everything is covered, so you only need to book your flights.

Are there elopement packages for two from the UK?

Yes. All our elopement packages are designed for two and can be booked from the UK. Prices are in euro. For a symbolic ceremony no documents are needed; for a legal wedding in Italy UK citizens need a certificate of no impediment with apostille and translation.
