Portovenere, the Promontory and the Alternatives That Are Not Cinque Terre
Portovenere is not one of the five villages. It lies across the Gulf of La Spezia, some forty minutes by road from Riomaggiore, and it belongs to the same UNESCO inscription without belonging to the Cinque Terre proper.
