What Changes the Cost of a Tuscany Wedding
The same venue can cost very different amounts. These five factors explain most of the gap, with examples from the published prices.
- Number of guests. At Grotta Giusti, 50 guests cost €35,000 and 100 guests €46,000 without overnight stays.
- Season. Castello di Bibbione costs €69,000 in low season and €75,000 in high season for 50 guests. At Villa Cetinale, 25 guests cost €105,000 or €137,000.
- Day of the week. Agriturismo Belagaggio costs €49,000 from Monday to Thursday and €52,000 at the weekend for 30 guests.
- Nights on site. Grotta Giusti adds €9,000 for 50 guests to include the overnight stay and breakfast. The Florence Hills Wedding goes from €42,000 to €105,000 as a three-day celebration.
- The venue itself. A countryside resort and a famous estate such as La Foce or Villa San Michele sit at opposite ends of the range.
Region matters less than these choices. Chianti, the Val d’Orcia, the Maremma and the hills around Florence all have packages at different levels.
Small Weddings and Elopements in Tuscany
For very small groups, the price drops sharply. Our 24 Tuscany elopement packages for two cost from €1,900, such as Florence Forever, to €8,900 at Villa Gamberaia.
Micro weddings start at €28,000 for 8 guests at Villa il Poggio, with the ceremony at Castello di Bibbione. The Intimate Villa Wedding at Relais Val d’Orcia costs €45,000 for 18 guests, with three nights of exclusive use and suites for everyone.
Our micro wedding in Italy guide compares these with other regions, and Tuscany elopement photographer covers the elopement packages.

Extras Not Included in the Packages
The packages cover the wedding itself. Depending on the package, plan for these extras too:
| Extra | Published price range |
|---|---|
| Celebrant for a symbolic ceremony | €800 to €2,500 |
| String quartet, ceremony only | €2,000 to €3,500 |
| String quartet, full day | €3,500 to €5,000+ |
| Live band, evening | €3,000 to €12,000 |
| Opera singer, performance | €1,200 to €6,500 |
| Private coach, per day | €1,200 to €2,500 |
| Car with driver, per transfer | €80 to €150 |
| Airport transfers for 50 to 100 guests | €3,000 to €6,000 |
| Second photographer | €1,500 to €4,000 |
Several packages already include a celebrant, such as the Castello di Bibbione and La Lupaia packages. Check the “What’s Included” list before adding one. See our string quartet guide for music options.
Ceremony Type and Paperwork
Most of our Tuscany packages include or assume a symbolic ceremony, which has no legal value in Italy and no Italian paperwork. Castello Vicchiomaggio offers a symbolic, civil or religious ceremony.
A legal civil wedding needs documents prepared months ahead. Our guide on how to get married in Italy as a foreigner explains the steps.

How to Plan Your Tuscany Wedding Budget
- Fix the guest count first. Packages are priced by guest number, so a shorter list changes the choice of venue.
- Decide on one day or a weekend. Multi-day packages include nights and extra meals, which simplifies guest planning.
- Choose the season. Low season and weekdays lower the price at several venues.
- Add the extras. Use the table above for music, transport and a celebrant if your package does not include one.
- Book early. Popular estates in May, June and September are reserved well in advance.
