The Venue: Villa del Balbianello

Built at the end of the 18th century on the Lavedo promontory at Lenno, Villa del Balbianello is a FAI heritage property and the most photographed wedding venue on Lake Como — its terraced gardens, candy-cane pines and twin loggias appear in Star Wars: Episode II and a James Bond film. Ceremonies are held in the Loggia Durini, receptions in the Loggia Segrè, and arrival is classically by boat at the villa’s private dock: the entrance every guest remembers forever.
