The Barolo Wedding is a Langhe elopement package conceived for couples who long to marry in the most intimate, atmospheric corner of northern Italy — seven metres below ground, within a wine cellar carved by hand from soft stone across the centuries. Here, surrounded by oak barrels where Nebbiolo slowly becomes Barolo, your celebrant speaks the words and a red ribbon is gently knotted around your joined hands. You are one. Then come the glasses: two Barolo, one for him, one for her. He pours into her glass, she into his. “Now your lives have mingled like this wine — impossible to separate.” You drink from one another’s glass, the UNESCO-listed hills rising above you and Barolo on your lips.
