The Experience
There is one castle that owns the best view on Lake Como, and for one evening it answers only to you. The Castello di Vezio — the medieval watchtower standing over Varenna for a thousand years — is illuminated entirely for the two of you: you climb through the olive trees, the gates close behind you, and on the panoramic terrace, with the lake unrolled three hundred metres below, you ask. The bouquet appears with the yes; the apericena of lake specialities and a bottle of prosecco are waiting among candles and lanterns.
